What to check at the viewing
The body has been repainted in Hammerite, which can hide rust, so check the sills, wheel arches, floor and chassis underneath. Confirm whether it's registered as a motor caravan on the logbook, and check that vintage insurance suits how you'll use it (many policies limit mileage). Ask who did the conversion and how the gas cooker is installed and ventilated. The toilet is portable, and there's no heating or shower listed.

A 1994 Volkswagen LT35 high-roof camper, a real classic that's survived, in cream and black. It has a 2.4 diesel and shows 112,500 miles (about 181,100 km). Inside is a simple, clean layout: a fridge, gas cooker, portable toilet, overhead lockers, 12 V lighting and USB charging. There's a large roof box, and two folding bikes come with it. Being over 30 years old, it's on vintage tax (€56 a year) and can go on vintage insurance, which keeps running costs low. The seller says the CVRT runs to November 2027, the tax to January 2027, and that the body and underside are in good condition for the year. The price has come down from €11,500.
