camperdeals.ie ("we", "us", "our") operates camperdeals.ie, a curated media and marketplace website for campervans and motorhomes for sale in Ireland.

2. Scope
This policy applies to camperdeals.ie and covers three groups of people:
- Visitors — anyone browsing the site.
- Subscribers — anyone who signs up for email alerts, saved searches, or the newsletter.
- Sellers/dealers — anyone who submits a vehicle for listing consideration via our submission form.
It does not apply to third-party sites we link to (e.g. the original DoneDeal/Adverts.ie listing, or a dealer's own website), which have their own privacy policies.
3. What personal data we collect

We do not knowingly collect special-category data (e.g. health, religion, political opinion) and ask that submission-form users not include it in free-text fields or photos.

5. Vehicle photos and submitted content
When you submit a vehicle, you confirm you have the right to share the photos and details you provide, and you grant us permission to publish them on camperdeals.ie and our associated social/email channels only if and once your listing is approved and published. We track this permission internally (permission status, date granted, and approved channels) and will not publish your listing or photos without it. You may withdraw permission and request removal at any time by contacting us; we will remove a published listing within 14 days.
Submissions we do not approve, or that remain "candidates," are kept in an internal, non-public record for our own market research and are never displayed publicly. See our How We Score and Listing Standards pages for how decisions are made.
6. Cookies and analytics
We use:
- Essential cookies — required for the site and admin login to function. These don't require consent.
- Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4) — help us understand how visitors use the site. These are only set after you accept them via our cookie banner.
We remember your choice in your browser's local storage (not in a cookie) and ask again after 12 months. You can withdraw cookie consent at any time via the cookie settings link in the site footer, which also removes any analytics cookies already set, or by clearing cookies in your browser. Declining analytics cookies does not affect your ability to use the site.
7. Who we share data with
We use the following processors to run the site. Each only receives the data needed to perform their service, under a data processing agreement:

Where a processor is based outside the EEA (e.g. Resend, Google, Stripe), transfers are covered by that provider's Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguard.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share seller/subscriber personal data with other sellers, dealers, or third-party advertisers beyond what's needed to publish an approved listing (i.e., the listing content you've agreed to make public).
8. How long we keep your data

9. Your rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Rectify inaccurate data
- Erase your data ("right to be forgotten"), subject to legal retention requirements
- Restrict or object to certain processing
- Data portability for data you provided us
- Withdraw consent at any time (for marketing emails, cookies) without affecting past processing
- Lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission (see Section 1)

10. Children
camperdeals.ie is not directed at, and we do not knowingly collect data from, anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Security
We use industry-standard measures (encrypted connections, access controls, row-level security on our database) to protect your data. No online service is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps appropriate to the sensitivity of the data involved.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site evolves (e.g. when payments launch in Phase 3). Material changes will be noted with an updated "Last updated" date, and subscribers will be notified by email where changes materially affect how we use their data.
