Why we like it: A proper family motorhome at a fair price for its age: six berths, a separate shower, Truma heating and a big rear garage, with only 48,000 miles on a 2.4 Transit. The owners have looked after it (winter services, stored indoors) and have already added solar, skylights and a reversing camera.

Check: The CVRT runs out in October 2026, so ask whether the seller will retest it before the sale or agree the cost with you. Six berths doesn't mean six belted seats: the seller says a six-belt setup is "available if required", so find out exactly how many belted travel seats are fitted now. Confirm it's registered as a motor caravan on the logbook, and ask for the winter service receipts. Check: At 4,100 kg it's over 3,500 kg, so you'll need a C1 entitlement on your licence to drive it. A standard car (B) licence won't cover it. Confirm the plated weight on the vehicle itself. The ad doesn't give mileage, CVRT/CRW, tax or whether it's on the logbook as a motor caravan, so ask for all four. It's a 2006 coachbuilt, so check the overcab, roof seams and window seals for damp, and ask for service history on the Ducato's cambelt and clutch.

Confirm it's registered as a motor caravan and ask for the current CRW/CVRT and tax. The current owner has had it only a few months, so speak to the previous owner and the mechanic who serviced it, and ask for invoices. Have the habitation side — damp, gas, electrics — checked, and compare €45,000 against dated equivalents, as an undated vehicle is hard to price.
